Bluetooth Drop Timer |
(Radio Wide, Bluetooth) |
When the Bluetooth
Re-Pair Timer value is set to "Immediate", this feature
selects the amount of time that a Bluetooth
(BT) accessory can remain disconnected (out of range) and still remain
paired (see Pairing Type).
If the radio and accessory come back in range before this timer expires, a connection is reestablished without the need to re-pair the radio and the accessory.
If this timer expires and a connection has not been reestablished, the pairing information is cleared on both the radio and the accessory.
Once the pairing
information has been cleared, the accessory then attempts to re-pair
for an additional 5 minutes before automatically
powering-down.
BT accessory auto power-down
is a battery-conservation benefit.
if either the radio or the accessory are manually powered-down prior to this selected BT Drop Timer expiring, both the radio and the BT accessory immediately clear their pairing information for the current connection.
When the accessory is powered-back-up, no matter if the radio is powered-on or off, the accessory attempts to re-pair for a default period of 5 minutes; if the pairing/connection does not occur, the accessory automatically powers back down.
When the Bluetooth
Re-Pair Timer value is set to "Infinite", this feature
selects the amount of time that a Bluetooth
(BT) accessory can remain disconnected (out of range) before the accessory
automatically powers-down.
BT accessory auto power-down
is a battery-conservation benefit.
If either the radio
or the BT accessory is manually powered-down prior to this selected
BT Drop Timer expiring, or the accessory is automatically powered
down due to the expiration of the timer, the radio and the accessory
normally
maintain/remember their pairing information
for this connection.
When the accessory is powered-back-up,
no matter if the radio is powered-on or off, the accessory attempts
to reconnect for a default period of 5 minutes; if the connection
does not occur, the accessory automatically powers back down; during
this 5 minute period, for a connection to re-occur,
re-pairing normally
does not need to re-occur.
